Our Corporate Social Investment (CSI) programme
Our purpose at Nedbank is to use our financial expertise to do good for individuals, families, businesses and society.
We achieve this through innovative partnerships and the ability to bring a strong social dimension to sponsorship. Our underlying sponsorship philosophy is aligned with our brand strategy to meet business objectives, create networking opportunities and hospitality, and promote community involvement and broad-based appeal.
Nedbank Eswatini recognises that it has a responsibility not only to be good with money but to do good with it.
For Nedbank Eswatini, corporate social investment (CSI) represents our multi-faceted approach to the responsibilities we have to the communities in which we operate. For this reason, we consider it one of our primary responsibilities to demonstrate our commitment to, and effectiveness in responding appropriately to the sustainability challenges of our communities, particularly because these challenges are material to our sustainable success both as a business and as a green and caring bank.
The Nedbank Eswatini CSI programme is based on six pillars, namely:Economic Development, Education, health and HIV/AIDS initiatives, Community development, Sport and Arts and the Environment.
Our CSI partnerships support community enlistment and development programmes that are empowering in the short-term and sustainable in the long-term. By focusing our CSI spend on these primary focus areas, we avoid the risk of diluting our financial support and ensure that we remain an effective enabler of transformation, enlistment and development in Eswatini.
At Nedbank Eswatini, we also have strategic volunteerism programmes that enable both staff and clients to make a difference in the communities we serve. This is facilitated through a volunteerism programme known as the Nedbank Eswatini Staff Charity. We use this programme to continuously develop our vision-led, values driven ethos, as well as our Deep Green Aspiration of being highly involved in ourcommunities. Our staff is encouraged to take the time to apply their skills and talents in order to help improve the lives of others, which also helps them understand the communities we serve better.
