These are credit balances that remain in a closed transactional account, or credit balances in settled loan accounts such as a home loan, vehicle finance, personal loan or credit card account.

 

Deposits made into an account where the account and/or accountholder's details are either missing or incorrect and we cannot allocate these monies.

There is no time limit to submit a claim. But remember that the longer the money remains unclaimed, the longer it may take us to pay the money out as we will need to go back into the history of your account.

It can take up to 10 business days if you give us all the required documents.

 
  • For transactional accounts, current and/or savings accounts, visit your nearest branch.
  • For vehicle finance accounts, call the MFC Call centre on 0860 879 900.
  • For personal loans, home loans or credit card accounts, call us on 0800 555 111.
 
  • A copy of your ID or passport.
  • Your latest bank statement, or an official letter from your bank.
  • The account number on which the claim is made.

We will pay out of the claim via an Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) into your nominated bank account. 

No, you do not earn interest on unclaimed balances.

After we’ve processed the pay-out, we will not process further claims against the same account.
