Promotion terms and conditions

Each participant is advised to read the promotional rules carefully. These promotional rules (“rules”) explain your rights and duties in connection with this promotion. If you take part in this promotion by default or on purpose and/or accept any prize, these rules will apply to you and you agree that the promoter(s) can assume that you have read and agreed to be legally bound by these promotional rules.

1. The promoter

Nedbank Limited, reg no 1951/000009/06 (we, us, our), runs this competition. We reserve the right to make it available to a select group of clients only.

2. Promotion period

The promotion starts on 01 March 2025 and will continue indefinitely (promotional period). The promoter(s) reserve the right to end this campaign at any time by giving notice within these campaign rules. Notice of this will be posted in these rules.

3. Who can and cannot participate in the promotion

3.1 A participant (you, your) must:

3.1.1 be 18 years or older;

3.1.2 have a valid South African identity document

3.1.3 be an existing Nedbank client with a transactional account.

3.1.4 all accounts must be in good standing

3.2 Our employees (including temporary and contract employees) and their immediate family members, associated companies, agents, contractors, and sponsors may not participate.

*Good standing means that none or your Nedbank accounts should be overdrawn, or be in arrears, or be in default, or be subject to any legal process with Nedbank ,legal process means any legal proceedings in any court of law involving you and Nedbank, including but not limited to: collections, liquidation and sequestration proceedings. Legal process however excludes debt review as envisaged in S86 of the National Credit Act 2005.

4. How to qualify

Personal Loan debt consolidation offer. Each participant must have been contacted by the Nedbank Contact Centre (Nedbank). Client must take up the debt consolidation offer and the loan must be distributed into the participant’s Nedbank transactional account within 30 days post being contacted in order to receive the R1000.

5. How the offer will be distributed

5.1 How the offer is given out. If you qualify for the offer, the following applies:

5.1.1 You will receive the offer only after we have verified and confirmed your details, including your compliance with these terms and conditions.

5.1.2 We will deposit the R1000, once off, into your bank account within 30 business days of qualifying for this offer.

5.1.3 We will not be responsible for any technical failures affecting your participation in the promotion or if your entry has been left out from participation.

5.1.4 If a dispute arises, our decision will be final and binding on all aspects of the promotion, and we will not discuss the matter further.

5.1.5 All costs or expenses relating to the offer that have not been mentioned here are excluded.

5.1.6 We will give the offer directly to you and not to anyone else.

5.1.7 We will not be liable for delays or failure to deliver any part of the offer resulting from acts beyond our reasonable control.

5.1.8 We will let you know as soon as reasonably possible if the offer is affected in this way.

6. The prize

A R1000 cash, once off paid into your transactional account.

7. General

7.1 You will receive the prize only once we have verified and confirmed your details, including your compliance with these terms and conditions.

7.2 We will not be responsible for any technical failures affecting your participation in the promotion or if your entry has been left out from participation.

7.3 If a dispute arises, our decision will be final and binding on all aspects of the promotion, and we will not discuss the matter further.

7.4 All costs or expenses relating to the prize that have not been mentioned here are excluded.

7.5 We will not be liable for delays or failure to deliver any part of the prize resulting from acts beyond our reasonable control.

7.6 We will let you know you as soon as reasonably possible if your prize is affected in this way.

7.7 We reserve the right to replace the prize at any time with another of similar commercial value.

7.8 We will not be responsible for any delays in your taking up the offer.

7.9 We will not be responsible for any additional conditions that third parties impose.

7.10 We will give the offer directly to you and not to anyone else, and we will not replace it with cash.

7.11 All the information about the promotion, including information that is published on any promotional material, is part of these terms and conditions.

7.12 By entering the promotion, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

7.13 These terms and conditions are available on the Nedbank website :  (https://nedbank..co.za) throughout the promotion period.

7.14 If you win, we may ask you to consent in writing to endorsing, promoting and advertising any of our services, without payment. You may decline this request, but we will still give you the prize.

7.15 By entering the promotion, you acknowledge that your personal information needed for this promotion will be shared with us and our agents, but only to the extent necessary for the promotion.

7.16 Your personal information will be used in line with South African consumer and data protection laws.

7.17 We may extend, shorten or cancel the promotion immediately and without notifying you if it is permitted by law, if we must do so by law, or for reasons beyond our control.

7.18 If this happens, you will give up any rights that you may have in terms of this promotion and you will have no recourse against us or our agents, contractors or sponsors as a result of the extension, shortening or cancellation.

7.19 We or our directors, employees, agents or suppliers will not be responsible for any direct or indirect loss or damage resulting from your participation in the promotion, or for any accident, injury, harm, damages, costs or death that you or any other person who participates in the prize sustains at any point during the fulfilment of the prize.
