You can play LOTTO, PowerBall or DAILY LOTTO on the Money app, through Online Banking or Cellphone Banking. You can select your numbers manually or by using Quick Pick before they are entered into a draw.

  • DAILY LOTTO 

You can buy DAILY LOTTO tickets from 06:00 to 20:25 on Monday to Sunday.

Yes. For LOTTO and PowerBall, you have to pay a board fee and a convenience fee. For DAILY LOTTO you have to pay a board fee only. Refer to the latest pricing guide here.

You can buy tickets using a valid current, savings and credit card accounts. 

The daily limit for lottery games is R1,000.

There are three ways to choose your numbers:

1. You can manually choose the numbers you want to play.

2. You can let the lottery processing system, Quick Pick, choose the numbers for you.

3. You can shake your phone to choose your numbers.

For LOTTO, you can play any number between from 1 to 52 and select a maximum of six numbers.

For PowerBall, you can play any number from 1 to 50 and select a maximum of five numbers.

No. Once you buy a ticket and the transaction is successful, you cannot receive a refund. 

You can play LOTTO PLUS 1 only if you have played LOTTO, and you can play LOTTO PLUS 2 only if you have played LOTTO PLUS 1. 

You can play PowerBall PLUS only if you have played PowerBall. 

LOTTO draws take place on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

PowerBall draw takes place on Tuesday and Friday.

DAILY LOTTO draw takes place every day, Monday to Sunday but there are no draws on Christmas Day

Yes, there is a screen for each of the lottery games that displays the winning numbers and your numbers played for that draw. 

Yes. We will send you an in-app notification and SMS if you've won more than R250,000.

 

You will receive a payout of all combined winnings (per ticket) of less than R250,000 into your account. The payout will be made to the account that you used to buy the tickets. Combined winnings (per ticket) that exceed R250,000 will be referred to the lottery operator for payout. 

You must submit the following details to the lottery operator: 

  • Proof of identity. 
  • Proof of banking details. 
  • Reference number (sent to you via the in-app notification and SMS). 

Winnings must be claimed within 365 days from the date of the respective draw.
