Terms and conditions

1. Definitions

The words in the table below mean the following:

2. The promoter

We run this competition and reserve the right to make it available to certain Nedbank clients.

3. Competition period

The competition starts on 28 September and ends on 30 November 2026.

4. Who may enter the competition

4.1 To enter the competition, you must:

4.1.1 be 18 years or older;

4.1.2 be a South African citizen, permanent resident, or foreign national lawfully residing in South Africa, and provide documentary proof of such status;

4.1.3 be a registered and active user of the Nedbank money or download the Nedbank money app during the competition period; and

4.1.4 ensure that your account is in good standing.

4.2 Our employees (including temporary and contract employees), associated companies, agents, contractors, and sponsors may not enter the competition.

5. How to enter

5.1 To stand a chance to win a prize, a qualifying participant must, during the Competition Period, earn competition entries by completing one or more of the qualifying actions set out below:

5.1.1 A qualifying participant will receive 1 competition entry for every cumulative spend of R5,000 on a Nedbank card linked to a Nedbank transactional bank account.

5.1.2 Qualifying spend for this competition includes card swipes, tap-to-pay transactions, online purchases, in-app purchases, QR code payments, and digital wallet payments.

5.1.3 Additional Entries:

5.1.3.1 A qualifying participant who holds an existing Nedbank transactional account but does not currently receive their income into that account, will receive 5 competition entries upon successfully switching their income deposit to their Nedbank transactional account.

5.1.3.2 A qualifying participant who holds a MiGoals transactional account and is not enrolled in the Nedbank Greenbacks Rewards Programme will receive 1 competition entry upon successfully enrolling in the Nedbank Greenbacks Rewards Programme.

5.1.3.3 A qualifying participant who holds a Nedbank transactional account other than a MiGoals, MiGoals Plus or MiGoals Premium account, and who is not enrolled in the Nedbank Greenbacks Rewards Programme, will receive 1 competition entry upon successfully migrating or upgrading their existing account to a MiGoals Plus or MiGoals Premium account.

5.1.3.4 A qualifying participant with a Nedbank Greenbacks-linked American Express Debit Card will receive 2 competition entries for every cumulative spend of R5,000 on such card.

5.1.3.5 A qualifying participant who holds a Nedbank Credit Card or a Greenbacks-linked American Express Credit Card will receive 2 competition entries for every cumulative spend of R5,000 on such card.

5.1.3.6 A qualifying participant who holds a Nedbank American Express Enterprise Line Credit Card (Gold or Platinum) or a Nedbank SAA VoyagerCredit Card (Gold or Premium) will receive 2 competition entries for every cumulative spend of R5,000 on such card.

6. The prize

6.1 100 participants stand a chance to each win a R50,000 Tourvest Travel Voucher. The Travel Voucher is issued and administered by Tourvest and is subject to Tourvest's applicable terms and conditions. The Travel Voucher will be valid for 36 (thirty-six) months from the date of issue.

6.2 The Travel Voucher may be used for flights, cruises, holiday packages, safaris and other travel-related services offered by Tourvest, excluding foreign exchange services.

6.3 If the value of a booking is less than the value of the Travel Voucher, the remaining balance will be transferred to a replacement voucher, which will be subject to the same validity period and terms and conditions as the original Travel Voucher.

6.4 If the value of a booking exceeds R50,000, you must pay the difference using a valid Nedbank Card.

6.5 The Travel Voucher may only be redeemed through Tourvest and may not be used through any other travel agent, airline, booking platform or third-party service provider.

6.6 The Travel Voucher must be treated as cash and will not be replaced or refunded if lost, stolen, damaged, destroyed or used fraudulently.

6.7 Our sole responsibility is the provision of the Travel Voucher. All travel bookings, travel arrangements, reservations and related services are provided and administered by Tourvest and/or the relevant third-party service providers.

6.8 Any costs, charges or expenses that exceed the value of the Travel Voucher, including any upgrades, taxes, levies, insurance, visa costs, incidental expenses or other travel-related costs, will be for your own account.

6.9 To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nedbank will not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, expense, delay, cancellation, disruption, claim or inconvenience arising from or relating to the Travel Voucher, any travel booking, travel arrangements or any goods or services provided by Tourvest or any third party. You accept and use the Travel Voucher at your own risk and indemnify and hold Nedbank, its employees, officers and agents harmless against any such claims.

7. Selection of the winners

7.1 The random computer-generated draw to select the winners will take place within 30 days of the competition end date via Microsoft Teams and will be recorded.

7.2 If you win, the following applies:

7.2.1 You will receive the prize only once we have verified and confirmed your details, including your compliance with these terms and conditions.

7.2.2 We will send the prize to the winner via a push notification on the Nedbank Money app within 30 (thirty) days of the draw. The prize will be issued in the form of a Tourvest Travel Voucher code, which the winner must provide to Tourvest when making a travel booking and redeeming the Travel Voucher.

7.2.3 By accepting and redeeming the Travel Voucher, you agree to be bound by the Tourvest Travel Voucher terms and conditions.

8. Conditions and limitations

8.1 We will not be responsible for any technical failures affecting your participation in the competition or if your entry has been left out from participation.

8.2 If a dispute arises, our decision will be final and binding on all aspects of the competition, and we will not discuss the matter further.

8.3 All costs or expenses relating to the prize that have not been mentioned here are excluded.

8.4 We will not be responsible for any delays in your taking up the prize.

8.5 We will not be responsible for any additional conditions that third parties impose.

8.6 We will give the prize directly to you and not to anyone else, and we will not replace it with cash.

8.7 We will not be liable for delays or failure to deliver any part of the prize resulting from acts beyond our reasonable control. We will let you know as soon as reasonably possible if your prize is affected in this way.

8.8 We reserve the right to replace the prize at any time with another of similar commercial value.

9. General

9.1 All the information about the competition, including information that is published on any competition material, is part of these terms and conditions.

9.2 By entering the competition, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

9.3 These terms and conditions are available on our website at nedbank.co.za throughout the competition period.

9.4 If you win, we may ask you to consent in writing to endorsing, promoting and advertising any of our services, without payment. If you decline our request, you will still receive the prize.

9.5 By entering the competition, you acknowledge that your personal information needed for this competition will be shared with us and our agents, but only to the extent necessary for the competition. Your personal information will be used in line with South African consumer and data protection laws.

9.6 We may extend, shorten or cancel the competition immediately and without notifying you if it is permitted by law, if we must do so by law, or for reasons beyond our control. If this happens, you will give up any rights that you may have in terms of this competition and you will have no recourse against us or our agents, contractors or sponsors as a result of the extension, shortening or cancellation.

9.7 We or our directors, employees, agents or suppliers will not be responsible for any direct or indirect loss or damage resulting from your participation in the competition, or for any accident, injury, harm, damages, costs or death that you or any other person who participates in the prize sustains at any point during the fulfilment of the prize.
