Getting started is easy

If you don’t have a Nedbank account, you’ll need to open one before switching to Nedbank Connect. Applying is easy, and can be completed online or on the Money app in just a few minutes if you have your SA ID or valid passport ready.

How it works

Everything you need to know about Nedbank Connect

No contracts. Just a simple monthly billing that you can cancel at any time.

  • For all preset or build your own plans, your monthly billing will only start once you receive and activate your SIM.

  • You will be billed on the same day of each month. That day will be based on the date on which you activated your SIM. For example, if your SIM is activated on the 27th, you'll be billed on the 27th each month going forward.

Want to keep your number? No problem, we make porting easy.

  • We’ll contact the network you’re leaving and schedule the switch. You’ll receive SMS updates guiding you through the process on your old SIM. This process will be initiated once you have received and activated your Nedbank Connect SIM.
  • Porting should take 24–48 hours, excluding weekends and public holidays. Once done, you’ll receive a notification, and you’re ready. Remember to keep your old SIM in your device to receive this notification.
  • Insert your new Nedbank Connect SIM once you’ve lost connectivity to your old SIM. 

 

Note

Before your number can be ported, you must cancel any contracts with the other provider and settle any outstanding prepaid advances.

To get your SIM card to you quickly and securely, we charge you a once-off fee of R99 for delivery.

  • The once-off fee of R99 covers the delivery of your physical SIM card to your door.
  • There’s no delivery fee if you choose the eSIM option.

If you decide to cancel your plan before your next billing date, you won’t be charged for the following month. You’ll pay for the current month only.
