How it works

Everything you need to know about Nedbank Connect

No contracts. Just simple monthly billing that you can cancel at any time.

  • When you pick a plan, you'll have to pay a once-off initiation fee, plus R99 if you want your SIM delivered.
  • Once the SIM is delivered to you, and you activate it, your monthly billing will start.
  • You will be billed on the same day each month, based on the date you activated your SIM. For example, if your SIM is activated on the 27th of each month, you'll be billed on the 27th in the future.
  • There is no delivery fee for the selection of eSIMs. You will pay the once-off fee for the plan you have selected only.

This applies to all plans, including Build your own and SIM only.

 

Want to keep your number? No problem, we make porting easy.

  • We’ll contact the network you’re leaving and schedule the switch. You’ll receive SMS updates guiding you through the process on your old SIM. This process will be initiated once you have received and activated your Nedbank Connect SIM.
  • Porting should take 24–48 hours, excluding weekends and public holidays. Once done, you’ll receive a notification, and you’re ready. Remember to keep your old SIM in your device to receive this notification.
  • Insert your new Nedbank Connect SIM once you’ve lost connectivity to your old SIM. 

 

Note

Before younumber can be ported, you must cancel any contracts with the other provider and settle any outstanding prepaid advances.

To get your SIM card to you quickly and securely, we charge you a once-off fee of R99 for delivery.

  • The once-off fee of R99 covers the delivery of your physical SIM card to your door.
  • This applies to all plans, including Build your own and SIM only.
  • There’s no delivery fee if you choose the eSIM option.

If you decide to cancel your plan before your next billing date, you won’t be charged for the following month. You’ll pay for the current month only.
