Terms and conditions

1. The promoter

Nedbank Limited, registration number 1951/000009/06 (we, us, our), runs this competition. We reserve the right to make it available to Nedbank clients only.

2. Competition period

The competition starts on 8 December and ends on 31 December 2025 (competition period).

3. Who can and cannot participate in the competition

3.1 A participant (you, your) must:

3.1.1 be 18 years or older;

3.1.2 have a South African ID;

3.1.3 permanently reside in South Africa;

3.1.4 have or open any of the following investment accounts:

3.1.4.1 Electronic 32Day Notice;

3.1.4.2 12-month Electronic Fixed Deposit;

3.1.4.3 12-month Electronic OptimumPlus; or

3.1.4.4 12-month Platinum Fixed Deposit (3.1.4.2 -3.1.4.4, is collectively referred to as ‘fixed deposit').

4. How to enter

4.1 To stand a chance to win the prize you must do any of the following during the competition period:

4.1.1 If you have an existing Electronic 32Day Notice account, you must increase your existing balance in the account by R30 000 or more;

4.1.2 you open a new Electronic 32Day Notice account, you must deposit funds and maintain a minimum balance up to R30 000 or more into the account; or

4.1.3 You must open and fund a new fixed deposit with a minimum of R100 000 or more.

4.1.4 If your investment is maturing during the competition period, you must reinvest it into a 12-month Electronic Fixed Deposit, 12-month Electronic OptimumPlus or 12 -month Platinum Fixed Deposit with a minimum of R 100 000  or more.

4.2 If your funds are automatically placed in an Electronic 32Day Notice account because we have not received a maturity instruction from you, you will be excluded and will not be included in the competition.

5. The prize

Seventy (70) Participants stand a chance to win the following prizes:

6.1 A random computer-generated draw to select the winner(s) will take place on 20 January 2026 via Microsoft Teams and will be recorded6.1.1 You will receive the offer only after we have verified and confirmed your details, including your compliance with these terms and conditions.

6.3 We will send you an in-app notification, within 3 (three) business days of the draw date to inform you that you have won, subject to 6.4.

6.4 Payment of prizes

6.4.1 If you hold one of the following accounts; Electronic 32-Day Notice, JustInvest, JustSave, or a transactional bank account (qualifying account) with us, the prize will be deposited directly into your qualifying account within ten (10) business days of notification, as follows:

6.4.1.1 If you have all the qualifying accounts, the prize will be deposited into your Electronic 32Day Notice account, or

6.4.1.2 If you have only a JustInvest, JustSave or transactional account, the prize will be deposited into one of these accounts.

6.4.2 If you do not hold any qualifying accounts, we will try to contact you telephonically on the number recorded in our system to obtain your nominated bank account details. We will make up to five (5) attempts to reach you. If we are unable to contact you after the fifth attempt, you will forfeit the prize, and we will select another winner

6.4.3 The prize will be deposited via EFT into the nominated account within ten (10) business days after we receive your banking details.

6.5 You can only win once during the competition period.

6.6 We will not be responsible for any technical failures affecting your participation in the competition or if your entry has been left out from participation.

6.7 If a dispute arises, our decision will be final and binding on all aspects of the competition, and we will not discuss the matter further.

6.8 All costs or expenses relating to the prize that have not been mentioned here are excluded.

6.9 We will not be responsible for any delays in your taking up the prize.

6.10 We will not be responsible for any additional conditions that third parties impose.

6.11 We will give the prize directly to you, or someone nominated by you and not to anyone else and will not be replaced with nor redeemable for cash, where applicable.

6.12 We will not be liable for delays or failure to deliver any part of the prize resulting from acts beyond our reasonable control. We will let you know as soon as reasonably possible if your prize is affected in this way.

6.13 We reserve the right to replace the prize at any time with another of similar commercial value.

7. General

7.1 All the information about the competition, including information that is published on any competition material, is part of these terms and conditions.

7.2 By entering the competition, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

7.3 These terms and conditions are available on our website at nedbank.co.za/termsandconditions throughout the promotion period.

7.4 If you win, we may ask you to consent in writing to endorsing, promoting and advertising any of our services, without payment. If you decline our request, you will still receive the prize.

7.5 By entering the competition, you acknowledge that your personal information needed for this competition will be shared with us and our agents, but only to the extent necessary for the competition. Your personal information will be used in line with South African consumer and data protection laws.

7.6 We may extend, shorten or cancel the competition immediately and without notifying you if it is permitted by law, if we must do so by law, or for reasons beyond our control. If this happens, you will give up any rights that you may have in terms of this competition and you will have no recourse against us or our agents, contractors or sponsors as a result of the extension, shortening or cancellation.

7.7 We or our directors, employees, agents or suppliers will not be responsible for any direct or indirect loss or damage resulting from your participation in the competition, or for any accident, injury, harm, damages, costs or death that you or any other person who participates in the prize sustains at any point during the fulfilment of the prize.
