Competition terms and conditions

1. The promoter

Nedbank Limited, registration number 1951/000009/06 (we, us, our), runs this competition. We reserve the right to make it available to Facebook and X users only.

2. Competition period

The competition starts on 25 March 2025 and ends on 30 July 2025 (competition period).

3. Who can and cannot participate in the competition

3.1 A participant (you, your) must:

3.1.1 be 18 years or older;

3.1.2 have a valid South African ID;

3.1.3 reside in South Africa; and

3.1.4 be a registered user Facebook or X.

3.2 Our employees (including temporary and contract employees), associated companies, agents, contractors, and sponsors may not participate in the competition.

4. How to enter

4.1 To stand a chance to win the prize you must do the following during the competition period:

4.1.1 Comment on the Nedbank Kasi Business Workshop competition posts, posted on our Facebook and X pages from 25 March 2025 – 30 July 2025, by answering the relevant question and using our hashtag #TogetherBekeLeBeke.

4.1.2 Entries will be accepted until 23:55 on the day of each social media post. How to qualify for the offer

5. The prize

5.1 Each Facebook post: 1 participant will win an Avo voucher worth R 2 000.

5.2 Each X post published on a Monday: 1 participant will win an Avo voucher worth R 2 000.

5.3 Each X post published on a Saturday: 1 participant will win an Avo voucher worth R2 000.

6. Selection of the winners

6.1 A random computer-generated draw to select the winner(s) will take place on the following dates via Microsoft Teams and will be recorded:

6.1.1 9 April 2025;

6.1.2 30 April 2025;

6.1.3 22 May 2025;

6.1.4 19 June 2025; and

6.1.5 24 July 2025

6.2 We cannot determine if you have a valid South African ID prior to the draw in 6.1.

6.3 If you win, the following applies:

6.3.1 You will receive the prize only once we have verified and confirmed your details, including your compliance with these terms and conditions.

6.3.2 We will send you a direct message (DM) via your social-media account used to enter this competition within 5 (five) business days of the draw date requesting your personal and contact details (for example your email address, identity and cellphone numbers). You will be required to respond within 10 (ten) business days from receipt of the DM.

6.3.3 If you do not respond to the DM in 6.2.2, you will forfeit the prize, and we will choose a new winner.

6.3.4 We will send your voucher to the email address provided in 6.2.2.

6.3.5 If you delete the email and cannot recover it or if someone accesses your email and uses the voucher, we will not replace it.

6.3.6 The Avo voucher is valid for 3 years (36 months) from date of issue.

6.3.7 You can only win once during the competition period.

6.3.8 We will not be responsible for any technical failures affecting your participation in the competition or if your entry has been left out from participation.

6.3.9 If a dispute arises, our decision will be final and binding on all aspects of the competition, and we will not discuss the matter further.

6.3.10 All costs or expenses relating to the prize that have not been mentioned here are excluded.

6.3.11 We will not be responsible for any delays in your taking up the prize.

6.3.12 We will not be responsible for any additional conditions that third parties impose.

6.3.13 We will give the prize directly to you and not to anyone else, and we will not replace it with cash.

6.3.14 We will not be liable for delays or failure to deliver any part of the prize resulting from acts beyond our reasonable control. We will let you know as soon as reasonably possible if your prize is affected in this way.

6.3.15 We reserve the right to replace the prize at any time with another of similar commercial value.

7. General

7.1 All the information about the competition, including information that is published on any competition material, is part of these terms and conditions.

7.2 By entering the competition, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

7.3 These terms and conditions are available on our website at nedbank.co.za throughout the competition period.

7.4 If you win, we may ask you to consent in writing to endorsing, promoting and advertising any of our services, without payment. If you decline our request, you will still receive the prize.

7.5 By entering the competition, you acknowledge that your personal information needed for this competition will be shared with us and our agents, but only to the extent necessary for the competition. Your personal information will be used in line with South African consumer and data protection laws.

7.6 We may extend, shorten or cancel the competition immediately and without notifying you if it is permitted by law, if we must do so by law, or for reasons beyond our control. If this happens, you will give up any rights that you may have in terms of this competition and you will have no recourse against us or our agents, contractors or sponsors as a result of the extension, shortening or cancellation.

7.7 We or our directors, employees, agents or suppliers will not be responsible for any direct or indirect loss or damage resulting from your participation in the competition, or for any accident, injury, harm, damages, costs or death that you or any other person who participates in the prize sustains at any point during the fulfilment of the prize.

7.8 This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by or associated with X.
