Indemnity

By accepting this invitation and attending the Durban July 2026 at Greyville Racecourse, on 04 July 2026 you agree to and acknowledge the following:

1. I have, out of my own free will and at my own risk, accepted Nedbank's invitation to attend and participate in the following event, which will be sponsored and/or promoted and/or arranged by Nedbank and/or any of its associates and subsidiaries and/or any of their officers, employees, agents, servants and organisers ('Nedbank').

2. I agree to participate in the event freely and voluntarily and at my own risk.
3. I will be aware of any hazards and dangers I may expose myself to while participating.
4. I will have no claim against Nedbank, and I indemnify and hold Nedbank harmless against any claim for any loss, theft, damage, personal or bodily injury (including death, hospitalisation and medical treatment) or expense, whether direct, indirect, consequential or arising in any other way, and whether caused by the wilful act, neglect or default of those hereby indemnified or by third parties or incidents including civil strife, strikes, terrorist activity, natural disasters, and sickness and disease.
5. This indemnity covers all activities (including those extra activities I have chosen) from the start date and time (if applicable) proceeding to the venue, staying there, and returning from the venue.
6. I will behave and act in a proper, responsible, professional and acceptable way and will not do anything that could be prejudicial to or raise questions about Nedbank’s integrity and reputation, or that is intended to hurt Nedbank’s public image. In particular, I will not break any laws, rules or regulations, and if I do (whether I am convicted, fined or otherwise and whether resulting in my incarceration or not), Nedbank will not be liable for any costs I may incur in any criminal or other proceedings resulting from this.
7. I have been advised and I fully understand that Nedbank may provide transport from a specified pickup point to the event and again from the venue to a specified drop-off point. If this transportation is provided, the event above will be deemed to start at the time I accept the offer of transport and end at the time I am returned to the drop-off point.
8. If I leave any personal belongings and/or any property in my possession belonging to anyone (personal property), like a vehicle at the pickup point mentioned, and that pickup point is on Nedbank premises, I acknowledge that the personal property will be left on Nedbank’s premises during the event at my own risk, and I indemnify and hold Nedbank harmless against any loss, claim or damage incurred by anyone, in particular me, resulting from that personal property being left on these premises.
9. If I am incapacitated, I hereby give the tour leader permission to provide or arrange the provision of any immediate medical or other treatment that may be immediately necessary to me, and I will be fully responsible for any costs of this medical or other treatment, including transport by ambulance, aircraft or other mode to and/or from any medical facility or institution, whether near the venue or elsewhere.
10. I fully understand and accept that Nedbank does not operate or control any accommodation, catering, transport or other services. Third parties provide these services on their own terms and conditions, and Nedbank is not liable for these third parties' actions or lack of action.
11. To the best of my knowledge, I am in good health, well and physically able to attend the event above, and I give up all future rights and claims that arise out of the event and that I may have against Nedbank.

I have received an itinerary outlining all costs Nedbank will meet. Any other costs I incur will be for my own account, and Nedbank will not be held responsible for any of these costs I incur – whether directly, indirectly, consequentially or arising in any other way.
