[RUN4AVOS Strava Challenge]
1 THE COMPETITION
Nedbank Limited is the promoter (we, us, our, Nedbank) of this competition.
2 COMPETITION PERIOD
The competition starts on 31 July - 31 August (Strava Challenge period).
3 WHO CAN AND CANNOT PARTICIPATE
3.1 To enter competition, all participants (you, your, participant) must be:
3.1.1 be 18 years or older; and
3.1.2 have a valid South African identity number; and
3.1.3 have an active, public Strava account.
3.2 This competition is not open to individuals outside of South Africa.
3.3 Although meeting the criteria above, the following persons may not enter the competition:
3.3.1 the directors and employees of Nedbank, or their spouses, life partners, business partners or immediate family members;
3.3.2 Nedbank’s agents, consultants, marketing service providers (including directors, members, employees, or their spouses, life partners, business partners or immediate family members); and
3.3.3 the company who has supplied the prize (where applicable) (including spouses, life partners, business partners or immediate family members).
3.4 Failure to satisfy any of the abovementioned eligibility criteria will result in a participant not being able to win any prizes.
4 HOW TO ENTER
4.1 The RUN4AVOS Strava challenge rules and regulations will govern the competition.
4.2 All participants must register for the RUN4AVOS challenge on the Strava platform during the designated dates, which is either prior to or during each challenge.
4.3 The first 5000 individuals who complete the RUN4AVOS Strava Challenge and fill out their details on the microsite are eligible to receive a R100,00 (one hundred rand) Avo Voucher to redeem on the Avo SuperShop.
4.4 Once the five thousand Avo vouchers have been redeemed, Nedbank will not be liable to provide any additional participants vouchers who have completed the RUN4AVOS challenge.
4.5 Nedbank reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any participant who submits an entry that is in breach of these terms and conditions.
5 THE PRIZE
Five thousand Avo SuperShop Vouchers valued at R100,00 (one hundred rand). One voucher per runner.
6 WINNER SELECTION AND PRIZE AWARD
6.1 The first five thousand people to complete the RUN4AVOS challenge and correctly fill in their information on the microsite will be sent via email for a R100,00 (one hundred rand). Avo SuperShop Voucher to redeem on the Avo Website.
6.2 If you are one of the first five thousand people to complete the RUN4AVOS Challenge, you will be sent an email with your voucher within 30 business days from the close of the challenge.
6.3 The prize will be sent as a voucher.
6.4 The first five thousand participants can only receive one voucher valued at R100,00 (one hundred rand).
6.5 If a dispute arises, our decision or that of the competition judges will be final and binding on all aspects of the competition, and we will not enter into correspondence.
6.6 Nedbank will not be liable if the incorrect email address is used by the participant when redeeming their voucher on the microsite.
6.7 You cannot transfer the prize, and if you do not take up your prize, give it up or reject it for any reason, we will have a separate draw to select another winner in terms of this competition.
6.8 All other costs or expenses relating to the prize that have not been mentioned here are excluded.
6.9 We will not be responsible for any delays in redeeming the prize.
6.10 We will not be responsible for any additional conditions that third parties impose.
6.11 We will not give the prize to a third party. We will give the prize to the verified winners only.
6.12 We will not be liable for delays or failure to deliver any part of the prize resulting from acts beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, strikes, lockouts, riots, acts of war, civil disorder, rebellions or revolutions in any country, epidemics, acts of terrorism, vandalism or sabotage, governmental regulations imposed after the fact, communication line failures, power and telecommunications failures, earthquakes, fire, floods or other disasters, and voucher expiry dates. We will notify you as soon as reasonably possible if the prize is affected in this manner.
6.13 We reserve the right to substitute the prize at any time with another of similar commercia value.
7 GENERAL
7.1 All the information about the competition and information that is published on any promotional material is part of these terms and conditions.
7.2 We, our associated companies, agents, contractors and sponsors will not be liable for any direct or indirect loss or damage arising from your participation in the competition or for any loss or damage, however arising.
7.3 You may decline our request to use your details or image in marketing material or to participate in marketing of any of our services. Your refusal will not affect the awarding of a prize.
7.4 These competition rules are available at nedbank.co.za/termsandconditions (website) throughout the competition period.
7.5 We reserve the right to vary or to alter or to amend the competition rules at any time, at our sole and absolute discretion, by posting the amended competition rules on the website. In the event of such variation or alteration or amendment, you agree to waive any rights you may have in terms of these competition rules, this promotion and/or the prizes, and acknowledge that, to the maximum extent permitted by law, you will have no right of recourse against us. Any variation or alteration or amendment of the competition rules will be published on the website, and you undertake to regularly visit the website to familiarise yourself with any varied, altered or amended competition rules. The competition rules will be deemed amended at the time they are published on the website.
7.6 By entering the competition, you agree to be bound by these competition rules.
7.7 By entering this Competition, you acknowledge and agree that we may use your name, voice, city/state/province of residence, photos, video or film clips, and/or other visual likeness for advertising and/or trade purposes and/or for any other legitimate purpose in any media or format now or hereafter known without further compensation (financial or otherwise), permission or notification in relation to this competition.
7.8 Any personal information of entrants and placed winners (“Personal Information”) will be processed and stored securely by us in accordance with our internal policies and the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013. We will use the Personal Information only for the purposes of fulfilling obligations and/or exercising rights pursuant to these competition rules, and to comply with our legal obligations.
7.9 We may receive your Personal Information strictly as is necessary for this competition and the purposes set out in these competition rules. We may share your personal information within our corporate groups, and with third party service providers, strictly as is necessary to fulfil our obligations and/or exercise our rights under these competition rules. You are required to ensure that any Personal Information you submit to us is complete, accurate and up to date, and you must notify us promptly in the event of any updates to your Personal Information.
7.10 Where applicable, we will not be liable for any accident, injury, harm, death, damages, costs, or loss that you or any other person who participates in the prize sustains at any point during the fulfilment of the prize.
7.11 We may terminate the competition immediately and without notice if we must do so because of legislative or regulatory reasons.
