Cellphone Banking is a secure and simple way to bank using your cellphone, anytime, anywhere, without using data or having to download apps. Cellphone Banking uses USSD technology and can be accessed by dialling *120*001# from your cellphone.

You can use any Cellphone as long as the number you are dialling in from is your primary Cellphone number linked to your Nedbank account.

You must have airtime available (not minutes), be an existing Nedbank client with an active Nedbank card or a Nedbank profile number and PIN.

We do not charge any fees for this service, but your mobile network provider will charge 20c of airtime for every 20 seconds you use the service.

You need airtime to use Cellphone Banking. If you don’t have airtime, dial *130*001# to buy more.

A session is how long you can use Cellphone Banking at one time to complete your transaction. Your mobile network provider sets these time limits which normally range between two to three minutes.

For your security, only the primary cellphone number linked to your Nedbank account will be allowed for Cellphone Banking.

Unfortunately not. We are restricted by our mobile network providers, which means we can offer this service in South Africa only.

Call the Nedbank Contact Centre on 0800 555 111 or reset your PIN on the Nedbank ID website or visit your nearest branch to reset your PIN.

Call the Nedbank Contact Centre on 0800 555 111 (toll free) or reset your Cellphone Banking PIN on the Nedbank ID website secured-id.nedbank.co.za (in the Security settings section) or visit your nearest branch to reset your PIN.

If you reset your PIN via the Nedbank Contact Centre, you will only have limited functionality for five days.
