- Short-term relief by not having to make payments on your debt for up to three months.
Drawbacks of short-term payment relief
- You will pay more interest in the long run as interest will still accrue during your relief period, but remember that you can always pay extra in future when your finances are back on track.
How to proceed

What we need from you:
- Motivation for your request.
- A letter from your employer confirming a reduction in your earnings due to reduced time, maternity leave or another reason.
- Confirmation of unforeseen expenses, for example medical or funeral expenses.
- Your latest 3 months’ bank statements.
What we will do
If you qualify, approval takes 3 working days, provided that all documents have been submitted.
- We will check your account for any holds or previously approved payment relief.
- If the account is more than three months in arrears, we will not offer payment relief.
- If you qualify, we will send you an approval letter; and amend your debit order.
- If there are arrears at the end of the payment relief period, we will send you confirmation of your arrears payment arrangements.
