Essential tips to help keep your bank details safe

Never share sensitive information

Do not share your card PIN, expiry date or CSC number (the 3- or 4-digit security number) over the phone or on websites accessed via links in emails or text messages.

Read your banking notifications

If you receive an Approve-it message for a transaction you did not make, reject it and call us immediately. If you receive an SMS or one-time password (OTP) for a transaction you did not make, call us immediately on 0800110929. Never give your OTP to anyone.

Report lost or stolen devices

If your mobile device is lost or has been stolen, let us know immediately. Deactivate the Money app and remove any digital wallet tokens that are linked to your card like Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, Fitbit Pay or Garmin Pay.

Report fraudulent SIM swaps

If you suspect a fraudulent SIM swap or number port, contact your service provider to block the SIM card and let us know immediately on 0800110929.

Avoid unfamiliar websites

Be cautious when you enter your card information on unfamiliar websites or those offering unrealistically low-priced products with automatic subscriptions or long-term monthly payments. Always read the T&Cs, do some research, and check online reviews.

Be aware of fraudulent requests

We will never ask for your Online Banking login details or card PIN, expiry date or CSC number to reverse a fraudulent transaction. If you receive a call, SMS or email asking for this information, end the communication immediately – you are talking to a fraudster.

Steps to take if you suspect fraud
