How to verify a WhatsApp message from Nedbank

From time to time, we’ll send service messages about your banking product on WhatsApp. Here’s how you can confirm that a message you have received is directly from Nedbank and is safe to engage:

 

  1. Verified badge: Look for a blue badge icon with a white tick next to the account name.
  2. Business account label: Look for the label under the account name indicating that it's a genuine WhatsApp Business account.
  3. Exercise caution: Nedbank will never ask you to enter personal information like your Nedbank ID username and password, card details, or PIN on WhatsApp.
  4. Check if unsure: If you suspect fraud, report it to us immediately on 0800 110 929.
