What to do if you suspect you’ve been a victim of fraud
Discovering fraudulent activity on your account can be stressful, but it's important to act quickly and follow the right steps to prevent further issues.
- Call us immediately on 0800 110 929 or +27 102174330 if you are calling from outside of South Africa.
- Check all your accounts for any fraudulent transactions.
- Report the incident to the South African Police Service as soon as possible.
- Keep a record of all reports, including who you have reported the matter to, the dates, times, and reference numbers.
- Provide any additional information requested by our investigation team as soon as possible.
Once you have informed us, we will do the following:
- Block access to your account to prevent further transactions.
- Register a fraud case and give you a reference number.
- Investigate your case and inform you of the outcome.
Some cases can be complicated, and the investigation might take a while. Please be patient as while we thoroughly investigate the matter.
