1. The cashback offer
1.1 If you take up the offer and meet the qualifying criteria and all the terms and conditions, you could get 1% of your home loan amount (up to R20,000) back in cash.
1.2 You will also be enrolled automatically for the Nedbank Greenbacks Responsible Borrower package for free. Your enrolment will be subject to the package terms and conditions, which are available under the Loyalty & Rewards tab on our website at nedbank.co.za. Joint bond applicants are excluded from the Nedbank Greenbacks Responsible Borrower package.
2. Who can and cannot participate in the promotion
2.1 A participant (you, your) must:
2.1.1 be a natural person;
2.1.2 have a valid South African identity card or document;
2.1.3 be 18 years or older; and
2.1.4 reside in South Africa.
2.2 The following people may not participate in the offer:
2.2.1 Our employees (including temporary and contract employees), associated companies, agents, contractors, and sponsors.
2.2.2 Juristic persons, including partnerships, trusts, companies and close corporations.
2.2.3 Foreign nationals who do not have a valid South African identity card document or card.
2.2.4 Nedbank Private Wealth clients.
2.2.5 People who are taking out further loans, readvances, endorsements or building loans, or people who are buying Nedbank-owned property or property through Nedbank-assisted Sales.
3. How to qualify for the offer
3.1 Once you have found a property that you want to buy or decided to switch your current home loan to us, you must submit a home loan application via any of the following Nedbank channels:
3.1.1 Our website at nedbank.co.za.
3.1.2 The Money app.
3.1.3 The Nedbank Contact Centre on 0860 555 111.
3.2 You must have an existing or open a new Nedbank transactional account (savings or current account). Your monthly salary or wages must be paid into this account and your account statement must show this payment.
4. When you do not qualify for the offer
4.1 You will not qualify for the offer if you apply for a home loan through the following Nedbank channels:
4.1.1 Sales consultants
4.1.2 Retail Relationship Banking bankers
4.1.3 Nedbank Private Wealth bankers or regional managers
4.1.4 Estate agents
4.1.5 Mortgage originators
4.2 You will also not qualify for the offer if you have received a formal approval (an approval-in principle, quote or grant) through any of the above channels and then apply for a home loan via any of our digital channels or the Nedbank Contact Centre.
4.3 This offer is not available in conjunction with our affordable-housing finance offering.
4.4 The 1% cashback offer is a separate offering to the main-banked offer where you use Nedbank as your main bank of business. If you are eligible for this offer, we will include these terms and conditions in your home loan quote.
4.5 We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify, suspend or terminate this offer at any time and for any reason. If we do, we will communicate this on our website and you will not have any recourse against us and our employees.
5. How the offer is given
Once the property has been registered in your name at the deeds office, we will pay the 1% cash back (up to R20,000) into your Nedbank transactional account within 45 calendar days.
