Terms and conditions
1. The promoter
Nedbank Limited, registration number 1951/000009/06 (we, us, our), runs this competition.
2. Competition period
The competition starts at 8:00 and ends at 23:59 on 08 July 2026 (competition period).
3. Who can and cannot participate in the competition
3.1 A participant (you, your) must be:
3.1.1 be 18 years or older;
3.1.2 have a South African identity document or card;
3.1.3 have a valid South African bank account in your own name; and
3.1.4 be a registered user on Facebook or X (social media platforms).
3.2 The following persons are not eligible to participate in the competition:
3.2.1 our employees (including temporary and contract employees) or their business partners or immediate family (spouse, partner, parents, siblings and children, including adopted children, but not step or half relations), directors, members, associated companies, agents, contractors, consultants, sponsors or marketing service providers; and
3.2.2 any person who does not meet the eligibility criteria set out in clause 3.1.
4. How to enter
4.1 To stand a chance to win the prize, you must comment on our “Nedbank Be A Kid Again Day” post that will be published on 8 July 2026 on our official social media platforms.
4.2 Only one entry per person will be considered. Multiple entries will be disqualified.
4.3 Entries must be made by the participant personally and must not be submitted via automated means or on behalf of another person.
5. The prize
5.1 One participant stands a chance to win R3,500 cash.
5.2 The prize will be paid via electronic transfer (EFT) into a South African bank account held in the winner’s name.
6. Selection of the winners
6.1 The random computer-generated draw to select the winner will take place on 10 July 2026 via Microsoft Teams, and will be recorded.
6.2 If you win, the following applies:
6.2.1 You will receive the prize only once we have verified and confirmed your details, including your compliance with these terms and conditions.
6.2.2 We may require you to provide certain information and supporting documentation to verify your identity and eligibility before awarding the prize. This may include:
6.2.2.1 A copy of your valid South African identity document or card; and
6.2.2.2 proof of your banking account details.
6.2.3 All information and documentation provided must be complete, accurate and correspond with each other. We reserve the right to verify all details provided.
6.2.4 The social media account used to enter the competition must belong to you and must not be used on behalf of, or represent, another person. The username and account details submitted must correspond with the identity of the participant.
6.2.5 If you fail to provide the required information within the timeframe specified, or if any information provided is false, inconsistent, misleading or does not correspond, we may disqualify you and select an alternative winner.
6.2.6 We will send you a direct message via your social-media account within 3 business days of the draw date and ask for your contact details (for example, your email address and cell phone number).
6.2.7 We will try to contact you a maximum of 2 times. If we cannot get hold of you after the second try, you will forfeit the prize, and we will choose a new winner.
6.2.8 We will not be responsible for any technical failures affecting your participation in the competition or if your entry has been left out from participation.
6.2.9 If a dispute arises, our decision will be final and binding on all aspects of the competition, and we will not discuss the matter further.
6.2.10 All costs or expenses relating to the prize that have not been mentioned here are excluded.
6.2.11 We will not be responsible for any delays in your taking up the prize.
6.2.12 We will not be responsible for any additional conditions that third parties impose.
6.2.13 We will give the prize directly to you and not to anyone else.
6.2.14 We will not be liable for delays or failure to deliver any part of the prize resulting from acts beyond our reasonable control. We will let you know as soon as reasonably possible if your prize is affected in this way.
6.2.15 We reserve the right to replace the prize at any time with another of similar commercial value.
7. General
7.1 All the information about the competition, including information that is published on any competition material, is part of these terms and conditions.
7.2 By entering the competition, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
7.3 These terms and conditions are available on our website at www.nedbank.co.za throughout the competition period.
7.4 If you win, we may ask you to consent in writing to endorsing, promoting and advertising any of our services, without payment. If you decline our request, you will still receive the prize.
7.5 By entering the competition, you acknowledge that your personal information needed for this competition will be shared with us and our agents, but only to the extent necessary for the competition. Your personal information will be used in line with South African consumer and data protection laws.
7.6 We may extend, shorten or cancel the competition immediately and without notifying you if it is permitted by law, if we must do so by law, or for reasons beyond our control. If this happens, you will give up any rights that you may have in terms of this competition and you will have no recourse against us or our agents, contractors or sponsors as a result of the extension, shortening or cancellation.
7.7 We or our directors, employees, agents or suppliers will not be responsible for any direct or indirect loss or damage resulting from your participation in the competition, or for any accident, injury, harm, damages, costs or death that you or any other person who participates in the prize sustains at any point during the fulfilment of the prize.
