Terms and conditions
1. The promoter
Nedbank Limited, registration number 1951/000009/06 and Primedia (Pty) Ltd (702 talk radio) (we, us, our), run this competition. We reserve the right to make it available to select Nedbank clients only.
2. Competition period
This competition runs on 702 from 1 June 2026 – 9 July 2026 (competition period).
3. Who can participate
3.1 A participant (you, your) must:
3.1.1 be 18 years or older;
3.1.2 have a South African ID; and
3.1.3 permanently reside in South Africa.
3.2 Business turnover criteria is R1,000,000 to R20,000,000.
3.3 The participant’s business must be located in Gauteng.
3.4 Ensure that your account is in good standing, which means that it must not be in arrears or have been handed over for legal collection.
3.5 Our employees (including temporary and contract employees) associated companies, agents, contractors, sponsors, their immediate family and friends and non-vendors may not participate in the competition.
4. How to enter
To participate, entrants who want to ignite their business must fill in an entry form on Primediplus.co.za and www.igniteyourbusiness.co.za to potentially be selected as one of the Nedbank Business Ignite finalists.
5. The prize
5.1 The winning business will win:
5.1.1 A cash prize of R200,000.
5.1.2 Business mentorship and support.
5.1.3 Valuable media exposure.
5.1.4 Funding and growth opportunities.
5.1.5 Access to SimplyBiz — Nedbank’s beyond banking platform designed to help businesses grow sustainably.
6. Selection of the winners
6.1 Finalists will be requested to participate in the final judging process with representatives from us and Mint Fresh on Wednesday, 15 July 2026.
6.2 The finalists will be selected by business expert Thuli Magubane and her team at Mint Fresh. These selected finalists will be profiled on air on 702 between 1 July 2026 – 10 July 2026.
6.3 The judging process will take place in-person at 702 Studios, in Johannesburg. All details will be timeously shared with each finalist, who will be allocated a specific time to interact with the judging panel.
6.4 We and Mint Fresh will not be held liable for entries not received for any reason, and will not be responsible for network connectivity, hardware or any other issues experienced while participating.
6.5 The judge’s decision is final, and no further correspondence will be entered into.
6.6 The prize is not negotiable, and not transferrable.
6.7 Prize Delivery takes place within 21 working days from the date of received documentation. The Primedia Prizes Department will notify winners of the required documents.
6.8 We will not be responsible for any technical failures affecting your participation in the competition or if your entry has been left out from participation.
6.9 If a dispute arises, our decision will be final and binding on all aspects of the competition, and we will not discuss the matter further.
6.10 All costs or expenses relating to the prize that have not been mentioned here are excluded.
6.11 We will not be responsible for any delays in your taking up the prize.
6.12 We will not be responsible for any additional conditions that third parties impose.
6.13 We will give the prize directly to you and not to anyone else.
6.14 We will not be liable for delays or failure to deliver any part of the prize resulting from acts beyond our reasonable control. We will let you know as soon as reasonably possible if your prize is affected in this way.
6.15 We reserve the right to replace the prize at any time with another of similar commercial value
6.16 We will not be held responsible for any charges or costs incurred while participating in this competition.
6.17 We will not be held liable for entries not received for any reason whatsoever and will not be responsible for network connectivity or hardware issues experienced while participating.
6.18 A participant will not be able to win this competition if they have won a prize on 702, 947, CapeTalk and/or Kfm 94.5 within the past 90 days, whether on-air, online or via any of Primedia Broadcasting’s social media platforms.
6.19 If the winner chosen does not comply, their entry will be disqualified, and a new winner will be drawn.
6.20 In the event that a winner cannot be successfully contacted, is ineligible to accept the prize, or contravenes the terms and conditions of this competition or of 702, 947, CapeTalk and/or Kfm 94.5, the prize will be forfeit.
6.21 We reserve the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice. Any changes to the competition will be notified to participants as soon as possible by the promoter.
7. General
7.1 By entering this competition, a participant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
7.2 Processing of Personal Information:
7.2.1 By your usage of this site, you agree to us processing your personal information including but not limited to information about your age, gender, marital status, occupation, qualifications and/or household structure.
7.2.2 You acknowledge and agree that Primedia and Nedbank may process your personal information for the following purposes:
7.2.2.1 Cross-checking and data enrichment of your personal information; consumer database storage; profiling consumers; generating aggregate insights on the basis of such profiling; developing algorithms for targeted advertising; sharing it with authorised third parties;
7.2.2.2 contacting you to provide you with information about Primedia products and services (including special offers that are tailor made for you); as may be required or authorised by law; and as may be necessary for the pursuing of Primedia legitimate interests or the legitimate interests of the third party to whom it is disclosed.
7.2.3 You consent to the collection, processing, use, recording and/or storage of your personal information, including any special personal information described above and the disclosure of my personal information to third parties where the processing is necessary for pursuing the legitimate interests of the third party to whom it is disclosed and/or where the third-party processes personal information on Primedia's behalf.
7.2.4 You further agree that your personal information may in appropriate circumstances reside outside of South Africa, and you hereby agree to the transfer of your personal information to locations outside of South Africa and the use of your personal information in such locations as described above.
