How it works
You can send money to any South African cellphone number from the Money app, Online Banking or Cellphone Banking (*120*001#).
Once sent, the recipient will get an SMS containing a voucher code they can use to make their withdrawal within 30 days.
It's the quickest, simplest way to send money to anyone who doesn't have a bank account.

You can send money easily without going to a store or the bank to make your deposit.
And it's easy to track
If the money is not withdrawn within 30 days, we'll send it right back into your account.
How to send money from the Money app
- Log on with your Nedbank ID, app PIN or Face ID.
- Go to Transact and tap Pay.
- Choose Send money and select your preferred option.
- Enter the amount you want to send.
- Select the account you'd like to send from.
- Edit the reference if needed, and tap Pay.
- We'll send the recipient an SMS with their cash voucher PIN code.
New feature: You can now resend and share voucher details to a WhatsApp number, SMS and other applications.
How to send money on Online Banking
- Log in to Online Banking and go to Pay.
- Click on Single payment.
- Enter the recipient’s details.
- Choose to pay to a cellphone number and follow the easy steps.
We'll send the recipient an SMS containing their cash voucher PIN code.
No SMS? Ask the recipient to dial *120*001# (Cellphone Banking) or *120*002# (MobiMoney) to have their cash voucher resent.
How to send money on Cellphone Banking
- Dial *120*001# from your cellphone.
- Enter your login credentials.
- Choose the Send money option and follow the easy steps.
We'll send the recipient an SMS containing their cash voucher PIN code.
No SMS? Ask the recipient to dial *120*001# (Cellphone Banking) or *120*002# (MobiMoney) to have their cash voucher resent.
