What you need to know

App installation

Only install apps from official stores like Apple App Store or Google Play. Don’t install apps from links sent to you on WhatsApp, email, or SMS.

Decline cash payment

Ignore and report

If you receive a banking notification for a transaction, you did not perform, do not ignore it. Notify the bank immediately.

Caller ID

Do not trust caller identity. Fraudsters now use number-masking software to make it look like the call is from Nedbank when it isn’t.

Urgent messages or calls

Beware of urgent messages or calls that threaten serious consequences, cause panic and requiring immediate action. Don’t rush into acting – check with us first.
