Funeral insurance policy will not lapse if you can pay only part of your premiums, but cover will be reduced. 

3 Months' grace period during the policy term where you don’t have to pay premiums.

What is covered

No waiting period with immediate accidental death cover.

Natural death cover after only 6 months for you, immediate family, parents and domestic worker/s. Other insured lives will be covered after 12 months.

Value for Life

Funeral support – Transportation of the deceased to the funeral home, help with getting a death certificate, funeral or cremation arrangements. R1,000 grocery voucher if you use free transportation service.

Legal services – Advice, consultation and drafting of legal documents.


What is not covered

Claims for suicide, attempted suicide or self-injury in the first 12 months of your policy.

A condition or event caused by any breach of criminal law.

Claims resulting from war, invasion, acts of foreign enemy, terrorism, hostilities, civil war, rebellion, revolution, insurrection or military or usurped power or strike, labour dispute or industrial action or from ionising radiation or contamination by radioactivity from any nuclear waste or fuel.
