Things to note before you apply
Our Group Savings Account is available only to stokvels, societies, or group-savings clubs
You'll need to provide the documents required for each member, signatory and for your group
The minimum starting deposit for a Group Savings Account is R100
Documents you’ll need
Each signatory’s valid South African barcoded ID or smart card.
Signatories who are not South African citizens can submit their passports and permanent resident permits.
A copy of your stokvel, society, or group-savings account constitution.
Proof of your stokvel, society, or group-savings account address.
Proof of address for each stokvel, society, or group-savings member (eg a phone bill not older than 3 months).
A copy of the minutes of the meeting in which the decision was made to open a stokvel, society, or group-savings account.
