Things to note before you apply for a Club or Stokvel account
The minimum starting deposit for a Club or Stokvel Account is R100.
Both accounts are ideal for stokvels, societies, group investments; groceries, burials, and businesses; school and property initiatives; community savings; and any other group-savings club.
To apply, you'll need to provide all of the documents and information listed below.
We'll require the following documents and information
Your three chosen representatives or signatories:
- Chairperson
- Treasurer
- Secretary
The following details for each representative or signatory:
ID number
Name and surname
Cell phone number
Your Stokvel or Club constitution:
A document that explains how your Stokvel or Club works. This can be
- Your own constitution
OR
- Nedbank-generated constitution
Minutes of the meeting during which you agreed to open an account.
These should include:
The name of your Stokvel or Club
Date of the meeting
A decision to open an account
Names of the identified signatories
To set up your Club or Stokvel Account
Use the Money app

How to open your account on Money app
- Download the Money app using this link.
- Follow the steps to create your Nedbank ID.
- Log in to your app and go to Applications.
- Select Bank.
- Select For my stokvel or club.
- Follow the app guide to complete your application.
