Use our preapproval to see how much you might qualify for or contact one of our home loan sales consultants.

2. Apply for a home loan

If you meet all the requirements, you can request a call back and a dedicated home loan sales consultant will assist you with your home loan application.

3. Open an account

To qualify for the cashback, you’ll need to open a Nedbank account and move your salary to it if you do not already have one.

4. Get cash back

Once your home loan is approved, a cashback of R5,000 will be paid into your Nedbank account after the bond is registered.

If you earn a single or joint gross monthly income of R32,000 or less, you may qualify for the following:

  • Get finance up to 100% of the property value.
  • Get R5,000 cashback paid into your Nedbank transactional account.
  • Get a 50% discount on your attorney’s bond registration fee.
  • Get a preferential interest rate on your home loan if your salary is paid into a Nedbank account.
  • Receive dedicated quality service from our home loan sales consultants. 
  • You also have the option of adding your initiation fee to your home loan amount.
  • If you earn less than R22,000 a month, you can lower your home loan repayments through the First Home Finance subsidy.

Earn a gross monthly income of R32 000 or less (single or joint).

To qualify for the interest rate discount, your primary account must be a Nedbank account, which means you must do your main banking with Nedbank. To become a main-banked client you must do the following: •

  • Maintain your existing or open a new Nedbank Account. 
  • Arrange that your salary is paid into this account or ensure that a deposit of at least R5,000 is paid into this account every month for the duration of your home loan. 
  • Do at least 1 transaction a month using the debit card linked to this account. 
  • Pay your home loan debit order from this account (after you have verified the debit order through DebiCheck). 
  • If you miss any of your monthly payments, you will no longer qualify for the interest discount. 
  • If you have a joint home loan, at least one applicant must meet all the criteria to qualify.
